To apply, you must pay an application fee, a security deposit, and a non-refundable equipment use fee. You must provide proof of liability insurance ($1M, naming Lulus Commercial Kitchen as additional insured) and a valid food managers certificate or ServSafe card for each employee. You must complete a walk-through orientation before operating in the kitchen.

No, you do not need a health permit to work in our kitchens since we are fully licensed and health department approved.

However, you do need a Manager Food Handlers Permit as required for all individual businesses. For permit information, visit the Sacramento County Health Department website. We can also provide all permit compliance needs, including commissary or MSU verification.

There is a 2-hour minimum for booking any kitchen space. The minimum monthly membership is $125 for kitchen use with no rollovers hours. Monthly plans are available; see the price sheet. One-time use clients please contact us.

We provide most equipment, but you need to bring specialized equipment and small-wares. Your time includes 24/7 access via an electronic lock, secure location, digital booking, utilities, cleaning supplies, towels, maintenance, WiFi, ice machine, small wares, restrooms, trash service, and use of address for business deliveries. Additional fees apply for storage and refrigeration space.

Storage and refrigeration fees are available for rent with first priority going to monthly plans. Storage requires a minimum 16-hour plan. Pricing is available upon request for dry storage, cold storage, and equipment storage.

Members must leave the kitchen spotless. We provide cleaning supplies, chemicals, towels, and scrubbers. Report any equipment issues immediately. We maintain equipment regularly but are not responsible for malfunctions.

No, the kitchens address cannot be used as your legal business address, and we will not keep your mail. However, business deliveries may be sent to Lulu’s Commercial Kitchen and should be scheduled during your kitchen time. We will try our best to accommodate in your absence, though it is not guaranteed.

There are two kitchen stations and two cold stations, so other users may be in the facility. However, each station is designated, and during your scheduled time, your station is exclusively yours, accommodating up to 4 people. If you would like to rent the entire kitchen, please contact us directly.

Yes, food trucks can rent kitchen space for prepping needs. A minimum fee of $125 per month is required for signing off on commissary forms. Note: No parking is available on site.
